Maggie McCormic defended her thesis
Maggie McCormic defended her thesis, “Exploring Prince Edward Island Beef Farmer Perceptions of Participation in Climate Change Mitigation“. Congratulations, Maggie! Her work explores how Prince Edward Island (PEI) beef farmers perceive their participation in climate change mitigative activities at the farm level. Framing analysis in the context of identity theory isolated frames in communication used by participating farmers related to four identities: productivist, conservationist, hero and scientist. The findings will contribute to the scholarly field of climate communication and adoption of climate smart practices in PEI and beyond.
