This event marks the launch of a dynamic peer-to-peer learning initiative, where peers (students, early-career researchers, and established professionals) learn with and from one another. Rather than a traditional lecture format, the series creates space for shared experiences, collaborative problem-solving, and open discussion about the tools and challenges shaping contemporary research. Participants are encouraged to exchange strategies, reflect on best practices, and build a supportive scholarly community.
The CAPINNOV Student Series is designed to support students across key stages of their research and professional development. It covers essential skills such as time management, research planning, and developing a clear and feasible research topic. Participants will strengthen their ability to synthesise literature and conduct both quantitative and qualitative data analysis, while also gaining experience with digital research tools and responsible AI use.
The series also provides practical guidance on grant writing, publishing, and navigating peer review, as well as transforming a thesis into a journal article. In addition, students will learn how to communicate their research to wider audiences, build their professional profiles, and network effectively, culminating in preparation to confidently present and defend their work.
The CAPINNOV Student Series is built around a student-centred vision of collaborative learning, where students are not just participants but active contributors and co-creators of knowledge. It provides a supportive space for students to engage with peers, early career researchers, and experienced professionals, gaining practical insights while sharing their own perspectives and experiences. Through a peer-to-peer approach, the series empowers students to develop confidence, think critically, and take ownership of their learning journey. Beyond strengthening research skills, it is designed to help students explore career pathways, build transferable skills, and cultivate the mindset needed to innovate and succeed in their future roles.
